Heart Transplant - Upper Grade Students (Middle and High School)

Published by: PBS Learning Media and Nova

In this hands-on exercise from the NOVA: Electric Heart Web site, you'll enter a virtual operating theater and perform a heart transplant. While this version of the operation has been greatly simplified, all of the basic steps are included. By the end of the operation, you will have a good idea of what's involved in taking the heart from one person and making it function in another.

This interactive activity requires Adobe Shockwave Player.
